Noah Stewart
born in jackson, made in memphis
Hi! My name is Noah Stewart and I’m is a photographer + photojournalist from Jackson, TN and based in Memphis. At a young age, I discovered my interest for taking pictures and this eventually turned into a full-time hobby where I now cover an ever-growing variety of subjects ranging from portraits, to concerts, to festivals, etc.
As a freshman at Rhodes College, I had the opportunity to be surrounded by multiple creatives in the ever-so talented city of Memphis. It was during this time that I realized photography is something that I wanted to be a part of my future. The following year, I transferred to the University of Memphis and was presented with my first opportunity to work with a publication as a photojournalist for the school’s newspaper - the Daily Helmsman. Being able to take my images and supplement them with narratives is a skill that I developed during this time and is one that I’m grateful to have now. With this, I’m better able to create my own personal projects as well as amplify overshadowed and under-represented voices.
Since then, I have been grateful to photograph multiple artists including: Megan Thee Stallion, Smino, NLE Choppa, Duke Deuce, Bas, Young Dolph, and so many more. Being that I have to consistently produce high quality images, I extensively use Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop on a tight deadline.
With clients ranging from Memphis in May, to the NAACP, to shooting a beauty campaign with Beauty of the Horn, I am excited + grateful to continue working as a creative and put out images that connect viewers with the respective subjects. To me, photography is a way to unify stories, and not putting any limits on who I work with helps me to understand that better each and every time I pick up the camera.
